Playing
How do we play?
Add your players, pick who's playing and tap Play. On your turn, draw a card and do what it says, out loud, in Punjabi. Everyone decides together if it counts. Catch someone speaking English and they lose a point. The first to the target score wins.
What ages is it for?
Everyone from about five up. Each player has their own level (Easy, Medium or Hard), so children, parents and grandparents can play together. Turn on Reading help to show the sounds in English letters under the Gurmukhi.
How many people can play?
Up to 4 players in the free version and up to 10 with Plus. You can save the whole family and tick who's playing each time.
Who writes the cards?
The cards use the everyday Punjabi families speak at home and are reviewed by a Punjabi teacher. Gurbani lines in the game modes are checked against trusted sources. Spotted something that doesn't look right? Please tell us.
Boli Plus
What's in Plus?
Every game mode (Sikh History quiz, Guess Who, Finish the line, Gurbani Antakshari and Festivals), TV mode, up to 10 players, and the full deck with themed packs. Plus is $4.99 a month, $29.99 a year or $59.99 once (US prices; the App Store shows your local price).
How does the free trial work?
Every new family gets 3 days of Plus free, starting with their first game. There's no card needed and nothing to cancel. After 3 days the app tells you what's changed and carries on as the free version.
How do I restore my purchase on a new phone or iPad?
Open Boli, go to Settings and tap Restore purchases. Use the same Apple ID you bought Plus with.
Does Plus work for my whole family?
Yes. Plus works with Family Sharing, so everyone in your Apple family group gets it.
How do I cancel my subscription?
On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose Boli Plus. Cancel at least 24 hours before it renews. You keep Plus until the end of the period you've paid for.
Can I get a refund?
Purchases are handled by Apple, so refunds are too. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
TV and devices
How do I play on our TV?
On iPhone or iPad, open Control Center, tap Screen Mirroring and pick your Apple TV or AirPlay TV. With Plus, the TV becomes the scoreboard and shows each card big, while the phone gets passed around. Secret cards stay on the phone.
Where are our players and scores saved?
Only on your device. Nothing is uploaded, so deleting the app also deletes your players. See our privacy policy.
Is there an Android version?
Not yet. Boli is coming to iPhone and iPad first, with Android to follow.
